Frequently Asked Questions

Is NetPlottr really free?
Yes, the extension is free to use. We built it because we needed it ourselves at Cloud Captains. No hidden subscriptions.
Where is my diagram data stored?
Nowhere but your device's memory. NetPlottr is "Local-First". We do not have servers receiving your diagrams. If you save a project, it downloads a JSON file to your hard drive.
Does it work offline?
Yes! Once installed, it requires zero internet connection. Perfect for air-gapped environments or working on the train.
Can I import existing diagrams?
You can import `.frank` or `.json` project files created with NetPlottr. We do not currently support importing Visio or Draw.io files.
